Hey Friends! The long wait is over! As of this week we are now available on iTunes and a whole slew of other digital retailers and e-tailers. What’s that mean to you? It means that you can pretty much get our album anywhere, anytime. If you’re in Egypt, you can get it. If you’re in Nebraska, you can get it. Here’s the link to see it in iTunes. We’re also having a contest on Facebook where we are giving away a CD package with stickers and buttons to the first 10 peeps who buy it and review it on iTunes. We also spent a day filming a video for our song “Lunatics and Liars” last week. We did it full on DIY style. We found a warehouse in the city, slapped up some canvas and lighting and our buddy Bill at Blazing B Studios did all the filming. We had a blast sweating it out under the lights, rocking out and drinking a bunch of beer. We are currently editing the video and it will be available soon, so keep checking back to see it. We’re going to do a little series of perspectives on filming the video as well, giving you guys a little glimpse into what it’s like to film one. Summer’s here, where’s the beer?

Hey friends, summer is here and we are ready to rock your planet! Here’s a little teaser of what our summer looks like. Grab this video and share it with yer friends on facebook or myspace or whatever…and send it to yer grannys. Hell, it just might be your granny at the end of the video!

We are going to be pressing shirts soon too so keep your eyes open. We’ll have them here and at the shows. Things are heating up around here and our music is being distributed to a boatload of music e-stores as we speak so you should be able to find it soon on your favorite store.

Hope to see you at the Adema/Insolence show at the Avalon in Santa Clara July 22nd. That will rock hard.

Venuez Show, Drumheads, Your Music Magazine

The Show

What a great time…Last Saturday night we had the opportunity to be a part of the Your Music Olympicks put on by Your Music Magazine. We opened the show and then following us were Dimidium, Until We Sleep, and Tolteca Extra. Everyone rocked and had a great time. It was nice to see a bunch of peeps from the Santa Cruz based magazine that I hadn’t seen in awhile. The sound guys did an amazing job as well, and for that, we are appreciative.

Techniculty Difficulty

We were able to power pretty hard through the first four songs. About 1 minute or so into “The River“, all of a sudden my bass pedal beater went right through the drumhead. Bass drum officially out of commission….then Pete broke a string…We managed to kill the song, regroup, get back started again, and wrapped up the set, but what a blue ball belly up moment for that to happen….I guess that’s rock and roll. The crowd didn’t give a shit, they just wanted more rock so we did what we could to deliver the goods.

After we were done and packed up our stuff, we hung out for a little bit and rapped out with some old friends, had some drinks, and called it an evening. We’d like to thank Your Music Magazine for the opportunity to play. We’d also like to thank everyone that showed up to support, and those who were gracious enough to buy some CD’s from us. We are humbled and stoked!

Summer Jams

Whats up people? Just wanted to give an update on the latest and greatest in the world of Zed. First off your CD is available at all shows and online, just hit the “Get Music” tab up top. You can stream it for free or download it. We are expecting to be up on iTunes within a months time too, so keep your eyes open for that!

the big news is we are in pre-production work for a video. I wont give away what we’re doing but it’s going to be cool and will kick your ass. Just wait and see. Hopefully it will be viewable by August. Also we just did an interview with Brian at Your Music Magazine. Photos are up at the link and the interview itself will be up shortly.

Also we are playing this weekend at the Your Music Olympicks which should be good. Check the show info widget for details. Lastly make sure you check out the July show as well with Adema and Insolence. That show will rock your granny panties. Trust me on that one.

Fried Amps and Drunken Good Times!

Thanks everyone who came out on Saturday night to the Cupertino Brit. We had a good time and still rocked the joint even though my bass amp fried on the first song. I play Ampeg, the best amps in the world, but I drive ‘em hard so occasionally one pusses out on me. Oh well, i plugged into the PA and we still killed. It was great seeing all of our friends and thanks for the drinks everyone!

Album title and artwork finalized!

Final art and album title

Hey Friends, in between bottles of gin and pudding pops we have managed to finalize the artwork for the album and have selected a name for it as well. First off, the art work comes courtesy of yours truly (Mark the bass player), who had a general direction in mind for the cover. We had discussed making it look a little sexy yet dangerous. With that in mind I took to finding the right image and building the rest around that. I settled on this image because it’s suggestive yet mysterious. The guys all liked it too (of course!) so we went with it. Now as for the name, we asked our friends and fans alike to contribute to naming the album, and one of the suggestions stuck out at us. “The Invitation”. What’s it mean and how does it relate to the music? Well that’s for you to figure out when it hits the street. I’ll just say pay attention to every detail. So when is the album going to be available? The plan is to have it available at shows and digitally (iTunes, Amazon MP3) within the next month or so, so you wont have to wait long. Keep coming back to the site for updates and show info, in addition to album availability. As always you rock, thanks for all the support!!
