Hey check it. So the guys in the band got bored one day and decided to do a video all DIY style. They grabbed 3 Flip Cams, spent an hour and a half recording and came up with this. Not bad for a bunch of slacker drunks.

We rocked, and we partied!! Many thanks to the Whisky A Go Go for hosting our L.A. debut, and many thanks to the lovely and super hot Metal Sanaz for coming to the show and rockin’ it with us! We did a quick little interview with her that we will post here soon, but for now, if you missed the show, no worries cuz one of our bro’s managed to get it on his phone!

Hey guys,
we have been busy writing the songs for our next album and have begun to debut some of them live, and let me tell ya the response has been pretty good. So we wanted to give you guys who aren’t in California, a taste of the new stuff. We’ll be posting 3 new songs over the next few days form last weekend’s show at Club 9Lives in Gilroy Ca. These songs were filmed by a friend of the band named Mitch. He also did a really cool interview with us that you can check out on our Facebook page.

The first song we are going to post is called “Please” and it has a big fat gnarly groove. It will make your head bob and might cause concussions. We hope you dig the new stuff! Enjoy!

Hey guys, It’s been a little while since we last updated you all with the latest and greatest from the Zed camp, but that’s not due to us being slackers. We’ve been actually pretty busy! We just came off a super show last week with George Lynch and Lynch Mob where we debuted 2 new songs and the response was pretty freaking awesome. People were diggin’ the new stuff ALOT! We are pretty stoked on it too and will spend the next few months writing the followup to “The Invitation”. We think you will dig it!

Additionally, we have a dded a couple more links to the top nav, and one of them is for the Zed Merch store. Yes now you can purchase Zed hats, Shirts and show tickets right here via paypal or google checkout. We accept all major credit cards and it’s safe and secure!! We also have opened up shop on our Facebook page so feel free to mosey on over there too! Just hit the “Shop Now” link in the left navigation.

Lastly, like we said before, we thought it would be cool to do a series of interviews discussing our thoughts on music, our favorite bands, our influences and what it’s like being in Zed. This is the third and latest one of the series and it’s basically 2 quick questions posed to a band member. This one is with guitarist Greg Lopez. Check it out and let us know what you think!

ZED hotel utah San Francisco CA

On behalf of the boys in ZED; I want to thank you for a great 2010! We began the year working on what started as a demo and eventually became our album the “Invitation”; which we wrote for the majority of 2009. We recorded all the tracks at our warehouse in Santa Clara, CA and took it to Juan Urteaga (Machine Head) at Trident Studios for mixing and mastering. The album was finally finished and released in April of 2010. Since its release on iTunes, Amazon, and a bunch of other online retailers, most notably bandcamp.com; we’ve heard from fans from literally all over the world. The album has been reviewed and favorably received internationally in the stoner rock underground.  Such sites such as stonerrock.com (RIP) and especially Bill and crew at the Sodashop have been great new friends.
There have been many people behind the scenes who’ve been amazing and have lent their time and talent;  most notably Bill Pennington and Blazing B studios for his amazing help with the ‘lunatics and liars’ video which we wrote, shot, edited and released this year. ZED was also a featured band this year on RoadRunner Records’ SignMeTo website, where we peakedat number 4 on the weekly rock charts. We met more than 2000 new friends and fans from around the world in 2010!
2010 was also a great year for shows. We started the year off at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, where we returned to play more shows since. We did a series of awesome shows for BarbRocks.  Later in the year, ZED did our first show with Mike Beard at the Avalon, opening the Adema show, with our friends and great local band Left of Christ. We returned to the Avalon again to support the Dreaming. We participated in the Your Music Magazine’s music Olympics. We played many fantastic shows in San Francisco and all around the Bay Area this year. It’s been a blast and we’re just getting started!
We’re excited about 2011 and we have a bunch of cool things planned! Those of you who’ve come to recent shows have surely noticed a bunch of new tunes we’ve been trying out for the next album and they are sounding GOOD! So it’s safe to say, you will most likely see a new recording from ZED in 2011. We feel that they are the next step up for us musically. We hope to finally see our fans outside of the Bay Area in the new year and hope to play in Southern California, Oregon and Washington in 2011.
Thanks again for a great year! Without you, there would be no us and we are grateful to be able to shareour music with you. Cheers and see you in 2011!
ROCK!

Roadrunner Records feature

December 13, 2010
By Mark Aceves in Uncategorized

Hey friends, we have some cool news. This week we are being featured on Roadrunner Records’ Sign Me To homepage. This is pretty cool since there are a zillion bands on this site. What is this site? well it’s actually a pretty cool concept. Roadrunner is basically placing the A&R function of a record label into the hands of the listeners who get to check out new bands on their site and give them a rating and review of some sort. It’s a pretty genius concept if you ask us and I dont think any other record labels are doing it yet. So check us out on their homepage and if you feel so inclined, give us a review or a rating!
